Being a volunteer
You can volunteer at a local, state or national level and your contribution can be as small as an hour or two a month.
Locally: you can join your local branch, or start your own. As a branch you can focus on local level consumer representation (at your nearest public hospital/MPs), starting a BaBs (Birthing and Babies) peer support group, fundraising for local maternity facilities and assisting women with information and advocacy.
State: each state has a committee that works on maternity care issues and are always looking for helpers to assist with consumer representation, consumer advocacy, maternity choice awareness and feedback on statewide policy, guidelines and recommendations.
Nationally: the National Committee is always looking for assistance on projects and working groups to better our organisation and improve our support of our state and local branches.
